Stand-up Midori Echika Ikebukuro
Today I am coming to Ikebukuro.
Since I have plenty of time, I decide to go to a store that is always crowded.
So, ``Stand-up Midori Echika Ikebukuro” I came to.

It is located underground at Ikebukuro Station, near exit C6 near the Fukutoshin Line platform.
This time we will be eating in while standing, but we also offer takeout.
I used to live in Ikebukuro, and back then I often used this place for takeout.
I visited on a Saturday around 17:00, and there were two people waiting in front of me, so I had to wait about 10 minutes to enter.
Orders are placed from a tablet.
At stand-up restaurants, orders are often given verbally, but if you use a tablet, you won't have to make any mistakes when ordering, so it's nice.
Now let's order.
Nama Beeru (Draft Beer)
Since I was planning to drink alcohol after this, I was hesitant about ordering it, but I gave in to my desire.
The brand was Super Dry.
1st piece: Surf clam

My impression was that the texture, taste, and flavor were weak overall.
That's why I felt the sushi so strongly.
The sushi rice gives the impression of grains of rice and a moderate amount of vinegar.
2nd piece: whelk shellfish
Above photo right
It has a nice crunchy texture, and the sweetness comes out as you chew.
At 110 yen per piece, this is the best value for money.
3rd piece: Red shellfish
Photo left
The texture is stronger and more crunchy than the whelk shellfish mentioned earlier.
The sweetness comes out as you chew, but each piece costs 330 yen.
Considering the price difference, regular whelk is better. .
4th piece: Hiragai
Center of photo above
There was no flavor of flat shellfish at all, and I got the impression that it tasted like the seaweed that was wrapped in it.
The texture was also not very good as it seemed too soft.
5th piece: Red shellfish
Above photo right
It has a melon-like flavor that is typical of red clams, but the texture is weak.
6th piece: hamo
The texture gives the impression that it is noticeably dry, but when you chew it, you can feel the flavor.
7th piece: Grilled golden sea bream
Photo left
It's not bad, but I have the impression that the flavor and umami are weak.
8th piece: Striped horse mackerel
Above photo right
I'm sure some people find this taste to be addictive, but I personally liked it because it tasted like umami.
9th piece: Tai
Photo left
It's delicious because the water has been removed and you can really feel the flavor.
10th piece: Sardine
Above photo right
It didn't have the peculiarity of blue fish, but it seemed watery and had a vague taste.
11th piece: Lean meat
Photo right
The moisture has been removed and the texture is chewy, but the flavor is weak.
However, since it's only 88 yen, I can't really complain.
12th piece: Medium Toro
Above photo left
It has a good balance of fat and flavor and is delicious.
14th piece: Raw seaweed
Photo right
It's delicious with the dashi soup and the ocean feel.
It's cheap at 77 yen per piece.
15th piece: Raw whitebait
Above photo left
It was delicious without being addictive and full of flavor.
This is also cheap at 88 yen per piece.
Impressions
The bill was 3,036 yen for 15 kan + draft beer.
By the way, to pay, press the checkout button on your tablet, the clerk will give you a slip, and you will pay at the takeout register outside the store.
My overall impression is that it's cheap and reasonably tasty.
However, what I was concerned about was the speed of delivery.
There are 5 counter seats and 2-person table seats for a maximum of 9 people, but there is clearly only one handshake, which seems to be insufficient.
When there were a lot of orders, there would be nothing for about 5 minutes after ordering.
I think standing sushi is meant to be eaten quickly and then left, but I think it took about 30 minutes, so I think that's why there was a line.
It seems like it's more about the operation than the quality of the food. .
There are several stand-up sushi restaurants in the basement of Ikebukuro Station, and I've introduced them before.Tachikui Sakura Sushi” Let's compare.

I think the same thing I ate at Sakura Sushi would cost 4,000 to 5,000 yen, so I feel it's one to two times cheaper than Sakura Sushi.
Although I did not order this time, there are also set products.
If you order mainly set items and cheap items such as 77 yen or 88 yen, you can probably save a lot of money.
However, I got the impression that the taste was one to two times lower than Sakura Sushi.
Considering the price difference, it was reasonable, and overall it was delicious, but there were a few things that were disappointing, and I don't think there was anything that was outstandingly delicious.
I think the correct strategy is to visit a restaurant two or three times, memorize the hit items, and then order multiple pieces of them, such as two pieces.
What about waiting time and delivery speed?
Unlike Midori, where you have to line up almost every time, you can enter Sakura Sushi without lining up that long.
As Midori mentioned earlier, Sakura Sushi is definitely faster in terms of service speed.
If you want to eat cheaply without having to wait in line, go to Midori, and if you want something delicious but not in line, go to Sakura Sushi.
Personally, I feel that Sakura Sushi is the best.
