After the meal, I boarded the La View train that I had booked and almost fell asleep on the train, and before I knew it, I had arrived at Seibu Chichibu Station around 10:20.
After arriving, leave your luggage at the hotel where you will be staying today, and explore Chichibu's famous ``Chintatsu soba”.
I joined the line around 10:40 and was finally able to enter the store at 11:45. .
Last year, the soy sauce-flavored ``Chintatsu soba large serving (1,000 yen)”, so this time I ordered “Miso Chintatsu Soba Large Size (1,000 yen)” I asked.
After comparing soy sauce and miso over the past year, I found that the sesame oil, green onion, pork, and miso all matched perfectly, so personally, I thought,Miso Chintatsu Soba” I would like to recommend it.
Chichibu Shrine
After dinner, we will move towards Chichibu Station and visit Chichibu Shrine.
When you come to Chichibu, you must visit Chichibu Shrine.
Seminar: Admire the festival bottle
After visiting the shrine, I managed to book a seminar called ``Admire the festival bottle” I will take this course.
You can taste 8 of the 10 types of event-limited bottles (matsuri bottles) while receiving explanations.
I was able to find a bottle that I thought was delicious, and it was also possible to pre-order only for seminar participants, so I was very satisfied.

After attending the seminar, we will return to Seibu Chichibu Station.

Traveling is all about eating, drinking, and sleeping, so I usually only stay at capsule hotels, but even regular business hotels are a blessing to me.

Ramen shop Ito
It's almost 18:00, so we move to the Miyakawa Night Bazaar venue, which can be said to be the eve of the Chichibu Whiskey Festival.
When we arrived at the venue, traffic control had not even begun yet. .
When I looked back at the flyer, it said the start time was 19:00, so I made a mistake in the start time. .
Even if I went to a bar now, I wouldn't be able to get in because it would be crowded. .
When I was thinking about how to kill time,Ramen shop Ito” was discovered.
I visited because it was a good way to kill time and prevent getting sick.
I visited after 18:00, and although there were several other customers in the store, I was able to enter without waiting.
This time, “Miso ramen (800 yen)' to 'Egg (100 yen)” was topped with.
The soup was quite reddish, so I thought it would be spicy, but it wasn't spicy at all.
The sweetness and richness of the backfat and the richness of the miso make it a rich and delicious dish.
I was able to unexpectedly come across a delicious cup.
Miyakawa Night Bazaar
I returned to the venue around 18:45, but it had already started.
Tomorrow at Miyakawa Night Bazaar ``Chichibu Whiskey Festival 2025” You can sample the event bottle in advance where the Garapon lottery will be held.
This bottle will not be available for tasting tomorrow, only by lottery, and will only be available at affiliated bars at a later date.
There were two types of bottles eligible for this Garapon lottery, and I sampled both.
1st cup: Chichibu 2015-2024 9 year old cognac cask
The lighter colored one is a cognac cask, and this one is a single malt single cask.
It has a cognac flavor with a bit of vanilla, but it has a strong oak feel. .
2nd cup: World Blended Sherry Butt
Although it is a single cask, it is world blended.
Banana and sherry, woody, and a little tropical in the second half, but it gives the impression of a typical sherry barrel.
Both of the bottles selected for this Garapon lottery gave the impression that they had a strong barrel feel. .
It may be good in the sense that it brings out the characteristics of the barrel, but I prefer the refill because it gives me a better taste of the original sake, so it was different from my personal preference.
3rd cup: Chichibu 2008 Malt Dream Cask
I didn't like either of the bottles selected for the Garapon lottery, so I was leaving the venue feeling a little disappointed. .
A paid tasting of single malt single cask distilled in 2008 and bottled in 2019 was held.
Of course I drank it, but it was full of vanilla and fruit flavors, and I personally like Chichibu with a fruity flavor, so this was a delicious Chichibu.
Gust
After Miyanokawa Night Bazaar, we will walk around Chichibu's illuminated streets before heading back to the hotel.
I felt like I didn't have enough to drink, so I visited Gusto, which was near the hotel, although it didn't have a hint of Chichibu flavor.
I just happened to have a coupon for half price alcohol.
I was able to sober up nicely with two beers and some fried chicken.
Chichibu Reiwa Chamber of Commerce
After drinking it, it's natural to finish it off.

In Chichibu, where the nights get early, most ramen restaurants are closed, and even if they are open, it may be a 20-minute walk.
I was thinking of buying cup ramen at a convenience store. .
『Sanro-tei (Chichibu Reiwa Shokai)I remembered that they only serve haggis during the Chichibu Whiskey Festival, so I decided to buy just the haggis.
Haggis is a traditional dish from Scotland, the home of whisky.
It is an impressive-looking dish that is made by stuffing sheep innards into the stomach of a sheep and simmering it.
As expected, authentic food takes a lot of time and effort, and since the person who eats it chooses the food, it is arranged so that it is delicious.
The spiciness was just right, the flavor of the lamb was good, and the mashed potatoes that came with it were also delicious.
Impressions
It was a great day for whiskey lovers to eat, drink, and buy.
As expected, all the shops were crowded the day before the Chichibu Whiskey Festival, so I would like to enjoy it from the day before, or visit Chichibu separately from the event and enjoy the gourmet food.
