So, I will introduce you to the rooms, meals, hot springs, etc.

How to make a reservation
There are two ways to make reservations for recreational facilities: lottery application and availability inquiry application.
To apply for a lottery, apply on the day of your choice during the lottery period two months in advance, a lottery will be held, and if you win, you will be able to stay overnight on that day.
If you apply for availability, you can make a reservation if there are any available days, such as those who won the lottery but canceled.
『Ikaho Onsen Hotel Tenbou” is a popular resort, so you basically need to apply by lottery.

The plan when making a reservation via Kanto ITS is ``Ikaho Onsen Hotel Tenbou”, one night stay includes two meals (dinner and breakfast), and a separate bathing tax (150 yen x person) will be charged.
Additionally, if you receive any additional services, such as drinking alcohol during dinner, additional charges will apply.
It is not a Kanto ITS exclusive resort, so the general public can also make reservations.

Transportation/Access
Transfers are generally not provided.
Basically, you will visit by private car, train, or bus.
This time, I visited by taking the express bus from Tokyo Station to Ikaho Onsen.
For those using the bus, the nearest bus stop is Miharashita, which is about a 5-minute walk from there.
Although it is within walking distance from Ishidangai, it is about a 15 minute walk, but it is a little far away.

I think the check-in and check-out times are the same as regular hotels and inns.
There are free drinks in the lobby that can be used from 8:00 to 18:00, so you can kill some time before checking in or after checking out.
Please note that drinks from the free drink corner cannot be brought into your room and must be consumed on the spot.

This time it was a Japanese-style room, which gave the impression of being quite spacious.
There is a sofa by the window.
Although the view is not particularly good, you can probably see the cityscape towards Shibukawa City.
There was hot water and water in a pot in the room.
There is also a refrigerator, and alcohol and water are available for a fee.
There is a small amount of space available, so you can refrigerate the items you purchased from the store or vending machine.
Basically, you will use the large public bath, but there is also a shower inside the room.
Although I didn't take any photos, there is of course a toilet attached.
Large bath
There are three types of public baths.
- Tenharu public bath (men's bath)
- Tenharu public bath (women's bath)
- Rock bath of the natural monument “Sanbasi”
There are two types of hot spring sources: Kogane-no-Yu and Shirogane-no-Yu.
As the name suggests, Kogane has a slightly cloudy golden color.
Shirogane is colorless and transparent.
Tenharu public bath (men's bath)

The Tenharu Public Bath does not have a men's and women's bath, but has a men's bath and a women's bath.
There are 5 types of baths and a sauna in the large public bath.
Recommended times are immediately after check-in and between 9:00 and 10:00 in the morning.
Groups and families don't often come to take a bath after check-in or close to check-out, so there were times when we reserved the large public bath for private use.
Kogane no Yu
Although it has a roof, the glass door can be opened, making it like a semi-open-air bath.
Shirogane no Yu
It is a spacious indoor bath.
Dandan no Yu
There are two levels, one with a roof and one without.
I have poor eyesight, so for a moment I thought the bath on the lower level was a pond. .
Tsururin no Yu
There is tourmaline (mineral).
I feel like I'm getting warmer than usual.
Netaro no Yu
You can enter while sleeping.
Sauna/cold bath
There is also a sauna and cold bath.
It's a dry sauna, so the temperature seems a little low.
The water bath feels a little cold, about 16 to 18 degrees Celsius.
Tenharu public bath (women's bath)

I'm a man, so I haven't taken a bath, but looking at the information on the website, there are 5 types of baths in the women's bath, and I think they are comparable to the men's bath.

Rock bath of the natural monument “Sanbasi”
There is a rock bath in the basement, and the atmosphere is overwhelming.
Please note that this is a gender-switching system, and usage hours are limited.
Women's usage hours: 19:30-23:00, 5:00-8:00
The recommended time is also for men only, but between 10:00 and 11:00, immediately after check-in and near check-out.
It's so great to have this rock bath all to yourself.
There are two types of baths: indoor baths and open-air baths, and there is also a sauna and cold bath.
Shirogane no Yu (rock bath)
The indoor bath is quite spacious.
Kogane no Yu (open-air bath)
The atmosphere and quality of the spring water are great.
Please note that the water is cloudy and you can't see the steps, and depending on the time of year you may be concerned about insects.
Sauna/cold bath
There is also a sauna and cold bath.
This one is smaller and has a drier impression.
The water bath here also feels a little cold, about 16-18 degrees Celsius.
Private bath
Although we did not use it this time, you can use the private bath if you make a reservation.
The outdoor bath type costs 2,750 yen (tax included) for 50 minutes, and the indoor bath type costs 3,300 yen.
I think it would be a good idea for families to use it as needed.
dinner
If you make a reservation via Kanto ITS, dinner will be a buffet (Milanokawa Buffet).
Dinner hours are from 17:15 to 20:00.
If the food runs out, more will be added, so basically you can go anytime during the service hours.
However, the later you go, the less time you have to eat as there is a set finishing time, so I think it's best to visit as early as the start time or around 5pm at the latest.
『Ikaho Onsen Hotel Tenbou' has a buffet (Milnokawa Buffet) and a buffet (Shunnobo Buffet) for dinner, but the buffet has a more luxurious menu.
If you choose the buffet when making a regular reservation rather than through Kanto ITS, you will be charged an additional 2,000 yen per person.
Other kaiseki meals and banquet meals are also available if you make a reservation.
Now, I would like to introduce some of the menus I received.
Bin Beeru (Bottled Beer)
First, I got a bottle of beer.
Non-alcoholic drinks are available at a drink bar and are free of charge, but alcoholic drinks are available for a fee.
The price is around 900 yen, which I think is expensive at a typical restaurant, but I think it's normal or reasonable for a hotel price.
My wife ordered the lemon sour, which cost about 700 yen, which I think is normal or reasonable for a hotel price.
Payment will be made to the room and will be settled at the time of check-out.
roast beef
You can enjoy a large cut of roast beef.
It looks a little hard, but it's within an acceptable range.
It's a buffet, so of course you can eat as much as you want.
Boiled offal
One of Gunma's specialties is boiled motsu, and you can also enjoy these specialty dishes as well as local vegetables.
It's a ginger-flavored type that tastes like something you'd get at an izakaya.
Sashimi
There are three types of sashimi: salmon, bigeye tuna, and konnyaku.
I don't think it's particularly delicious, but you can enjoy it without any smell.
Sukiyaki
The beef is a little tough, but the flavor is rich and delicious.
This is done by yourself starting from igniting the combustion agent.
snow crab
There is also snow crab.
I didn't get the impression that the meat was lean like in all-you-can-eat restaurants.
Of course it's all you can eat.
Sauteed abalone
You can even eat abalone!
Although they are small, you can enjoy the chewy texture.
Considering that it's an all-you-can-eat option, that's a good thing.
Joshu beef stew
The beef seems a little fibrous, but I think it's tolerable.
Maitake mushroom pot rice
We also have kamameshi.
You can have it freshly made, piping hot and delicious.
This is also done by yourself starting from igniting the combustion agent.
It takes about 20 minutes, so you'll want to light it early.
Tempura
You can't tell from the appearance of the tempura, but it's freshly fried.
Basically, it is fried, but it is always cooked and depending on the timing, you can have it freshly fried.
pasta
The food is also cooked right in front of you, so you can enjoy it freshly made.
The taste was average though. .

Dinner: Impressions of the buffet
I've only picked out the famous and luxurious menus that I ate, but there are also other common menu items such as fried chicken and yakisoba.
Of course, there are plenty of desserts as well.
I think we have a lineup that everyone from children to adults and the elderly can enjoy.
I think the overall taste is delicious.
My impression is that it is more delicious than a certain all-you-can-eat 〇〇〇〇 Taro, but inferior to a hotel buffet.
I think it would be great if this level could be enjoyed as a buffet or as an all-you-can-eat option.
Even my wife, who is picky about taste, said that this level of food would be perfect.
The only thing that bothered me was that there seemed to be not enough staff during peak hours.
Place the finished dishes on the tray next to each person's table.
The staff will clean up the dishes, but it seemed like they were not able to clean them up in time during peak hours.
Well, I guess I should just put it back on my own.
breakfast
Breakfast is buffet style.
Guidance to seats will begin around 6:45.
The venue is the same, but it's a buffet rather than a buffet, so it's a bit lower in rank compared to dinner.
The overall lineup has the impression that it is similar to the breakfast of a business hotel that puts a little emphasis on breakfast.
For the first round, I brought the rice menu and one side dish that I was interested in.
My impression is that the taste is about the same as breakfast at a business hotel.
The second round ended quickly with bread and coffee.
I'm planning to take a bath after breakfast, and I'll have lunch a few hours later, so I finished my meal in less than 8 minutes.
In-house facilities
The building is quite large and has various facilities.
There is a pub, karaoke, variety hall, footbath, and a pool available only in the summer.
However, this time I only used the shop.
kiosk
There is a shop that sells not only alcohol, snacks, and light meals, but also souvenirs.
A 500ml can of beer costs about 400 yen, so it's more expensive than a convenience store, but I think it's a reasonable price for a hotel.
Also, it was cheaper than drinking beer in the refrigerator in the room, so I basically bought it here and drank it in the room.
Payment methods were pay-as-you-go, and accepted credit cards, electronic money, and QR code payments.
customer base
I get the impression that the majority of customers were groups, families, and married couples.
It seemed like the group was on a company trip or some sort of meeting.
Groups eat in a banquet hall separate from the buffet hall, so we didn't feel noisy during dinner or breakfast.
Dinner and breakfast times coincided with the families, but I didn't get the impression that the children were making a lot of noise.
So, I didn't feel that the customer base was bad during my stay.
Impressions
Overall, ``Ikaho Onsen Hotel Tenbou'It was good.
I think the most enjoyable part of the hotel was that it was spacious and had a wide variety of hot springs and baths.
I think that the fact that meals are served buffet or buffet rather than in the room may be a negative point for some people.
However, the dinner buffet has a luxurious menu, so I'm sure you'll be satisfied.
Although it is a little far from Ikaho Ishidangai, the nearest bus stop is Miharashita, where many buses stop, so access to various places is not bad and I think you can enjoy sightseeing in Ikaho without a car.
I think I will use it again when I visit Ikaho Onsen in the future.
