I woke up earlier than usual, took a morning bath, and then headed to the breakfast venue.
Last night's buffet had a luxurious menu and I was satisfied with the taste, but the breakfast lineup and quality gave me the impression that it was comparable to a business hotel that is particular about its breakfast.
After this, I had to take a bath and have lunch a few hours later, so I kept my stomach to 8 minutes or less.
After the meal, we took a short break and enjoyed the bath until the last minute before check-out at 11:00.
I was impressed by the luxurious dinner buffet and the wide variety of baths.

Ikaho Onsen Sekidangai
After checking out, head to Ishidangai, which is famous for Ikaho Onsen.
It is about a 10 minute walk from the hotel.
Since I plan to take the express bus from Shidangai on my way back, I will leave my luggage in a locker instead of leaving it at the hotel.
It's a type of locker where you pay 100 yen to leave your belongings, but the good thing is that you get 100 yen back.
There aren't that many lockers, but everyone seemed to be leaving their cars in their cars or leaving them at hotels, so not many people were using the lockers.
This is a monument with place names written in Roman letters, which has been increasing recently.
There is also a stand where you can put your smartphone and take pictures with a timer, so please feel free to take pictures.
As the name suggests, Ishidangai is made up of stone steps, and there are many shops on both sides.
There are a total of 365 stone steps.
There are no escalators or ropeways, so you basically have to climb up on your own.
Since I visited in May, the temperature was comfortable, neither hot nor cold, but it can be difficult to climb on your own in midsummer or midwinter. .
There is a description of the current number of steps on the stone steps, and a poem by Akiko Yosano is engraved at the beginning.
Also, when you think of Ikaho or Shibukawa City, it's the first letter D.
There are some manholes with the letter D on them.

Ikaho Shrine
There are a variety of shops on both sides of the stairs, including restaurants, souvenir shops, and target shooting.
You'll climb the 365 steps in no time while enjoying the scenery.
I climbed quite slowly, stopping and looking at souvenir shops along the way, but it still took about 20 minutes.
At the top of the 365-step climb, there was Ikaho Shrine, which I visited.

Having climbed the stone steps, there is no choice but to go down.
Of course, you can also go down by yourself.
However, the scenery you see when you descend is spectacular, so you can continue descending without getting bored.
I went back about half way to the 191st step, and I was feeling hungry after climbing up and down the stone steps, so...stone steps udon'I decided to have lunch there.
Here, ``Joshu beef hotpot udon (2,800 yen)” I ordered.
The udon is Mizusawa udon, and even though it is stewed, it has a firm texture.
Joshu beef is of course delicious.
It was obvious that the udon and Joshu beef were delicious, but personally, the vegetables and mushrooms were especially delicious.
It had a much stronger flavor than the ones sold at supermarkets in Tokyo.

After eating, I climbed a little further and took a footbath, Kishigon Tatsu no Yu, on the 212th step.
It's almost full, but the turnover rate is good, so if you wait for a few minutes, a space will become available, so take advantage of that opportunity and get in.

You can feel the taste of hops all over, vanilla and rice.
The fresh and fruity aftertaste was impressive.
stone step ball konnyaku
Further down the stone steps, on the 94th step is ``stone step ball konnyaku”, I will receive the tama konnyaku.
It's such a famous store that if you look it up on Ikaho+Tourism, you'll almost certainly be introduced to it.
It's famous, but you just pay and receive the konnyaku, so it's not crowded.
The konnyaku has a deep color and is as flavorful as it looks.
And since you eat it outside, it's twice as sweet.
The mustard was said to be spicy, but I think this is just the right amount as an accent.
When I was a child, I thought it was an ordinary dish, but as I grew up, I started to appreciate this type of konnyaku.
Mizusawatei Ishidan store
After descending the stone stairs, I still had time to catch the express bus, and I had a little more room in my stomach.Mizusawatei Ishidan store” I decided to visit.
orthodox “Assorted udon (930 yen)” I received it.
Of course it's Mizusawa udon.
You can feel the elasticity just by holding it with chopsticks, and the firmness when you bite into it.
Naturally, the number of times you masticate increases, so you can enjoy the flavor of wheat with each bite.
I was able to have the sauce with mentsuyu and sesame sauce, and personally, I preferred the sesame sauce.
With this, we received warm Mizusawa udon and cold Mizusawa udon.
It's difficult to make a simple comparison because the stores are different, but I personally prefer the colder one.
There are many Mizusawa udon and Himokawa udon restaurants in Ishidangai, so I think it would be interesting to try and compare them.
express bus
At 15:00, it was time for the express bus.
There are 4 rows of seats, just like on the outbound flight, and there is a certain amount of space between the seats.
The bus on the way there had USB-A, but the bus on the way back had an outlet.
Unlike night buses, eating, drinking and talking are not prohibited, so it seems to have overlapped with Madam's return from a trip, so it was a bit noisy.
Well, once you sleep, you won't have to worry about that.
Kamisato service area
On the way, I stopped at the Kamisato service area for a break.
Now that I think about it, I realized that I didn't buy any souvenirs. .
When I took a look at the souvenir corner, I saw that there were a lot of souvenirs from Gunma, Niigata, and Nagano on sale.
We understand the demand.
We safely purchased souvenirs and boarded the bus.
There were some traffic jams after that, but we arrived at Tokyo Station on time at around 18:30.
Impressions
Although it was 1 night and 2 days, I was able to fully enjoy Ikaho Onsen both in terms of gourmet food and hot springs.
Basically, I think the trip will be centered around hotels and Ishidangai.
Udon is basically the gourmet food in Ishidangai, so I don't think there is that much variety.
If you do it frequently, like once a year, I think you'll get pretty bored.
If you have a car, it's a different story, so next time I'll either use a rental car or take an express bus, so the content will be the same, so I hope to visit again in a few years.
