Hakone Soba
『Hakone Sobais a stand-up soba chain operated by Odakyu Restaurant System.

We have stores in Tokyo, Kanagawa Prefecture, and Saitama Prefecture, mainly along the Odakyu Line.
Basically, stores are often located inside stations, department stores or commercial facilities operated by Odakyu.
There is "Hakone Soba Honjin Odakyu Ace South Building" in Shinjuku, where you can enjoy higher-grade Hakone soba.

They also have a great value breakfast menu, and I have used it several times.

Ordering and Payment
Payment method: cash, transportation IC card
Although it may differ depending on the store, especially if it is located in a commercial facility, I think this is the basic ordering and payment method.
Hiyashi Tanuki (Chilled Soba with Tempura Bits)
What's with the temperature even though it's already June? .
I want to go to a stand-up soba restaurant to enjoy warm soba even on a hot day, but this year I'm thinking of raising the white flag against the heat.
So, I will choose cold soba.
This time, “Chilled Tanuki (540 yen)' to 'Raw egg (70 yen)''.
I was pouring water and securing a spot when I was called in about a minute.
As expected from a stand-up soba restaurant, the service is fast.
The contents include tanuki (tempura cake), cucumber, chopped seaweed, and wasabi.
Let's get it then.
Soba Noodles
The noodles are well-coated and cold, so they have a chewy texture and a strong soba flavor.
The soup has a slightly salty taste with a hint of bonito.
By adding tenkasu to it, the richness of the oil increases, giving it a slightly junky taste.
The cucumber also adds a crunchy texture and is a nice accent.
Nama Tamago (Raw Egg)
Raw eggs used to have toppings that cost around 50 yen, not just at this shop, but now they cost 70 yen.
This is not the only store that is expensive; some stores charge as much as 100 yen. .
It used to cost 200 yen for 10 pieces at the supermarket, but before I knew it, it now cost about 300 yen. .
It's gotten to the point where people are hesitant to add toppings at stand-up soba restaurants and gyudon chains. .
Well, now that we've added the toppings, let's eat carefully.
Overall, it is mild and easy to slurp, making it easier to eat.
Flavor Change: Shichimi Togarashi (Seven-Spice Chili Pepper)
To change the taste, I added some shichimi chili pepper that was on the table.
The chili pepper gives it a tangy impression and goes well even when chilled.
Of course, you can change the taste with wasabi, but we also recommend adding shichimi chili pepper.
Impressions and Rating
Hakone soba was delicious.
Although it is a stand-up soba chain, the point is that you can really feel the flavor of the soba.
I didn't have time until my next appointment that day, but I was planning on visiting because I was afraid that if I missed this timing, I would miss out on lunch. .
The food was served in about 1 minute, I finished eating in about 3 minutes, and I was able to leave within 5 minutes, making it safely on time for my schedule.
I think standing eating soba can be classified as fast food.
Although it has a fried dish called tempura on top, it's soba noodles, so I was once again grateful to Japan for being able to enjoy relatively healthy fast food.
