Chichibu Soba Ohanabatake Station Branch
『Pork miso bowl Honpo NosakaAfter eating the pork miso bowl, I headed to the next restaurant to try some soba noodles.

Chichibu is famous for many things, and one of them is soba.
Enjoy local Chichibu sake and local vegetable tempura, and finish off your meal with a slurp of soba.
I headed to the store I had researched in advance, but it turned out to be temporarily closed. .
In that case, I headed to the store, but it was closed on regular holidays. .
Since I was rejected twice, I decided to be more stable next time, so I threw away sake and tempura, and I'm sure I'll do it.Chichibu Soba Ohanabatake Station Branch” I visited.
This is a stand-up soba restaurant with an open counter, similar to those found on station platforms in the past, which is rare in this day and age.

February 2024 “Chichibu Whiskey Festival 2024”, so this will be my second visit in 2024.

I visited around 12:15 and there was a line of about 2 people waiting to order.
Shakushina soba
This time, we will use ``Shakushina'', a specialty of Chichibu.Shakushina soba (480 yen)” I ordered.
Order verbally and pay when served.
In addition to cash, various electronic money and credit cards can be used as payment methods, so be sure to prepare them while you are cooking.
The rice bowl arrives in about 1 to 2 minutes after ordering.
Normally, wild vegetables and the brown tempura cake (for tanuki) on the top right are not included, but it seems that the staff made a mistake when adding the toppings.
He apologized and said he was sorry, but since it was a happy mistake, he responded by saying thank you.
Soba Noodles
As you can see there are black grains in the noodles, you can feel the strong soba flavor.
Among standing soba restaurants (excluding 100 percent soba restaurants), you can feel the flavor of soba at the top level.
Shakushina
It comes with stir-fried rhododendron in oil.
It has just the right amount of salt and a hint of oil, which adds a rich and crunchy texture.
This is delicious on its own, so I'm thinking of buying a souvenir to take home.
Tenkasu
There are two types of tempura (green) for unintentionally crunchy soba noodles and tempura (brown) for tanuki, both of which have a good richness.
I think I'll try eating tanuki next time. .
Tsuyu (Dipping Broth)
The soup had a strong Kaeshi flavor just like last time.
This time, there were a variety of ingredients, so I got the impression that various flavors were added to make it richer.
Impressions
Since it was a stand-up soba restaurant, I couldn't eat sake and tempura, but it was a satisfying meal.
I unintentionally ended up with soba noodles topped with various toppings, but I guess it's okay.
If other restaurants have a menu with all the toppings in small portions, I might order it.
Shakushina soba is delicious on its own, so even though it's standing-up soba, you should definitely give it a try when you visit Chichibu and have some room in your stomach.
On this day, the temperature was around 20 degrees Celsius, which was warm for October, but the temperature has finally reached a point where I can eat warm soba without breaking a sweat.
So, I'm planning to visit various standing soba restaurants in the future.
