In 2025, I ate various genres such as ramen, soba, sushi, yakiniku, etc.
It would be foolish to compare different genres using the same ranking, but I did go to the trouble of trying it out. . We will rank them indiscriminately.
For some genres, rankings for each genre are posted separately.

5th place: Numazu gyoza shop Kitaguchi-tei
Located in NumazuNumazu Gyoza (Dumplings) store Kitaguchi-tei” was chosen in 5th place.

Towns famous for gyoza are Utsunomiya and Hamamatsu, and in recent years Miyazaki has been trying to overthrow the stronghold of these two.
It's a city that doesn't have much of an image of gyoza, so what is your image of this city? When asked, ``Love Live! Sunshine!!There is a store in Numazu that answers this question.
Although the name of the restaurant is Numazu Gyoza, they use a unique cooking method of grilling the skin, then boiling it.
The grilled eyes are not crispy as expected, but you can feel the aroma.
The skin is chewy throughout, and the filling has a strong, meaty flavor.
Depending on the restaurant, the filling of the fried gyoza can be noticeably dry, but because the dumplings are boiled, they don't feel dry.
Japanese people have the impression that boiled dumplings are lacking in some way, but since they are grilled, they don't make you feel unsatisfied.
It's been a long time since I've eaten gyoza, and I was very impressed with the taste, which seemed to have the characteristics of both grilled gyoza and boiled gyoza.
If you visit Numazu, be sure to visit.
4th place: Yakiniku Hormone Kaneki Hanare
A famous yakiniku restaurant located in Akasaka.Yakiniku hormone Kaneki Hanare” was chosen in 4th place.

We focused on hormones, and all of them were of high quality.
I had only one type of meat, the loin, and it was also of high quality.
The price was about 19,000 yen for two people, but I thought it was cheap for 10,000 yen per person.
Recently it has become difficult to get reservations due to its popularity, but I would like to visit again soon.
3rd place: Lol.
Located in Kiyosumi-shirakawa.Lol.” was chosen as third place.

A bistro where you can enjoy natural wine.
The food overall was delicious, but the crab miso croquette and badger were particularly impressive.
And, I was told that the bread was finished baking during the cooking process, and I was impressed by the freshly baked bread that was provided to me (if I asked for it).
What's more, the pasta at the end is great, as you can choose the oil, cream base, and ingredients depending on your mood that day.
It's only 23,000 yen for two people, including plenty of drinks and food, so I think it's the perfect restaurant when you want to eat something delicious.
2nd place: Sushi Tanaka
Located in Shirokane-takanawaSushi Tanaka” was chosen as second place.

The price of the omakase course at the time of our visit was 19,000 yen.
These days, it is said that there is a sushi bubble due to inbound tourists and soaring prices of fish itself, so the prices are incredible.
There is also counter sushi that is of lower quality and is served for around 10,000 yen, and I thought it was something like that, but from what I've heard, it seems to be different.
So I decided to visit and check it out, and when I visited, I was surprised by the high quality and low price.
They offer a good selection of snacks and standard nigiri toppings, and at 45,000 yen for two people, it's a bargain.
Ah, I thought this would soon become a difficult-to-book restaurant, but now that it has been awarded one Michelin star, it has joined the ranks of difficult-to-book restaurants.
I am both happy and sad that it has become difficult to visit.
1st place: Koukaibou
Located in Monzen-nakacho 『Kokaibou” was chosen as number one.

It's a ramen shop.
The soup is based on seafood and pork bones, and the seafood is dried with sardines, and the sweetness of the pork bones and vegetables is added to create a soup with a strong umami flavor.
Medium-thick, chewy egg noodles are the perfect match.
Furthermore, the chashu is melt-in-your-mouth soft, and before you know it, you've finished it, or rather, it's gone.
The overall taste is gentle, and the owner and proprietress have a kind atmosphere, which is reflected in the ramen.
Is ramen number one?
You may think so, but it was one cup that I was able to enjoy with such abandon.
There is always a line on Saturdays and holidays, but you may be able to get in without lining up on weekdays at a slightly different time from lunch time, so please give it a try.
Closing Thoughts
In 2025, I ate food from various genres and restaurants.
I've been posting almost every day, so I think I've eaten out at least 300 times.
Up until now, I've mainly focused on sushi and Japanese food, but I've also tried branching out into Western food.
In addition, up until now, we have mainly focused on ramen shops in bar districts, but we have also tried to delve deeper into the same genre by attacking shops such as Tabelog 100 Famous Shops and Michelin-listed shops.
There were many delicious restaurants other than these top 5, and there were also many things and shops that made me think about various things.
I think it was a good opportunity for me to reevaluate my previous thoughts and become interested in new things.
My thoughts are coming together to some extent, so I hope to be able to write them down somewhere.
In 2025, I ate and drank too much and ended up in trouble for a while, but I plan to continue to pay attention to my health by dieting and visiting various restaurants in 2026 as well.
Thank you for your continued support.
