Hidakaya was chosen. .
Today is a weekday, but I had some paid work to do and went out.
Now that I've finished my business, I'm having trouble choosing a restaurant for lunch.
The reason I'm having such a difficult time is because I forgot my wallet and went out without cash or credit cards. .
Since I brought my smartphone, the payment methods I can use are transportation IC cards, QR codes (PayPay/Rakuten Pay), QuickPay, and ID.
When this happens, it's best to choose a chain store that accepts a variety of payment methods.
However, some privately run shops may accept electronic money, so I bet on a glimmer of hope, but I keep losing out on several shops.
I was about to give up, and the choice for today's lunch was ``Hidakaya'It was.

I used Hidakaya as a bar when I was a new graduate, and when it was near my old house, I would eat there after drinking, or when I got hungry in the middle of the night.
I don't go out drinking often anymore, and since I moved and there's no one near my house, I don't go there much anymore.
Hidakaya is in a good location near a station in Tokyo, but most of the stations in Tokyo are hot spots for ramen, and there are several restaurants that are highly rated on Tabelog and Google Maps.
So, I rarely choose Hidakaya when I'm on the go, and I wonder how many years I haven't been there.
Bin Beeru (Bottled Beer)
I entered the store and ordered immediately.
First, I'll quench my thirst with a bottle of beer.
Draft beer is fine, but if bottled beer is available, ordering a bottle has been my favorite over the past few years.
Drinking beer in front of people in suits or with families can taste immoral.
Assorted three dishes
For snacks, I chose the standard three-item platter (menma, kimchi, and yakitori with green onion).
Yakitori reminds me of canned yakitori.
Both the menma and kimchi taste like they were bought at the supermarket, and to be honest, they taste cheap, but Hidakaya's is just fine.
Gyoza
Frozen gyoza is the only thing on sale, but Hidakaya is fine with this.
Chige miso ramen
This is a limited menu available only in winter.
Pork, chives, kimchi, and onions are stir-fried, so you can feel the aroma, but the miso and jjigae give it a punch.
It also contains beaten eggs, and when you eat the beaten eggs it gives a mild impression.
The noodles are medium-thick and to be honest, they're on the same level as those sold at supermarkets, but everything else other than the noodles, such as the soup and the amount of ingredients, is beyond Hidakaya's.
It looks similar to when I used to go there, so I think they had a limited edition menu that included giblets, and I wanted to try that too. .
I guess it doesn't exist anymore. . ?
Closing Thoughts
I was able to successfully make the payment using electronic money, and thank you for the meal.
I enjoyed Hidakaya for the first time in a while.
To be honest, at Hidakaya's level, I feel like I eat 20% to 30% more supermarket ingredients because I don't have to clean up after cooking, washing dishes, etc.
However, when it comes to stir-fried dishes, miso ramen, and tanmen dishes that are cooked in a wok, this goes beyond that.
If it had been at night, I would have ordered stir-fried starfish or levanilla and started drinking in earnest, but since it was lunchtime, I decided to quit.
Other than the taste, there are various added values such as being open in the morning, being open 24 hours a day, and not getting any strange looks even if you drink in the afternoon.
How many years will it be before the next one? .
