Especially on Sundays, there aren't many restaurants in the Yurakucho area where you can have a quick drink. .
If you want to have a quick drink and have a standing bar, Hotei-chan is the place to go.There are a lot of seats, so you don't have to wait, so personally, when it comes to casual drinks in Yurakucho, Hotei-chan is my choice.
I entered the store around 16:30 on Sunday and was guided to a standing bar without waiting.

The size of the bottle is large, so it's easy to drink.
As expected, the first beer of the day was delicious.
Shungiku salad

I'm a huge fan of shungiku, so I saw someone posting this menu on social media and was curious about it.
The bitterness of the garland chrysanthemum and the ponzu dressing make it refreshing and delicious.
You can't tell from the photo, but there are onions in it.
It goes without saying that onions and ponzu sauce go well together.
You can have both the shungiku salad and the onion salad, so it's a good deal.
Beef belly sukiyaki hotpot double meat
Next is “Beef belly sukiyaki hotpot with double meat (590 yen excluding tax)”.
I was also curious about this after seeing a post on SNS.
The ingredients are beef roses, garland chrysanthemums, and green onions.
Shungiku ended up covering it unintentionally. . I like shungiku, so it's no problem.
『Beef belly sukiyaki hotpot (390 yen excluding tax)” I paid a little for the meat and got double the meat.
And for sukiyaki, ``Raw egg (50 yen excluding tax)” is essential, so I added it for a fee as well.
I am thankful that I can eat sukiyaki at this price. .
The meat itself is a little tough and seems to be worth the price.
The iron plate is hot, but not hot enough to cook the chrysanthemums and green onions, giving the impression that they are only half-cooked.
It's filling and good as a snack, but it's worth the price.
The total cost is 640 yen excluding tax, so if you're looking for quality in your sukiyaki, you might be happier with two snacks.
If you want quality in sukiyaki, or if you want to be stingy with it, you should pay more.
Impressions
It's a quick drink, so that's it.
The bill was 1,590 yen, which was a bottle of beer + 2 snacks (garlic chrysanthemum salad, beef belly sukiyaki hotpot + double meat + raw egg) + 200 yen entrance fee.
The admission fee will increase from 100 yen excluding tax to 200 yen excluding tax from March 18, 2025.
Still, I think the total price is cheap.
Please note that cash is the only payment method, but if you are standing and drinking, you will receive a 5% discount, and they will round it down to the nearest 1 yen.
My rule is that if I'm drinking sake, I'll have one glass of sake and (preferably) two snacks.
The challenge is to see how much of the store's originality can be felt within this structure, and how much satisfaction can be gained from it.
This time, I chose sukiyaki, which was filling and satisfying, making it a nice, crispy drink.
Well, it was the highest amount I've ever spent on Hotei-chan (lol)
I will continue to use it when I want to have a quick drink.
