Kitade TACOS Gransta Tokyo store
『Ramen Jiro Matsudo Station StoreAfter eating this meal, I ended up feeling fuller than I expected, so I decided to give up on eating multiple meals in Matsudo.

From Matsudo Station, I returned to Tokyo Station in about 30 minutes on the Ueno-Tokyo Line.
I think I'll at least get some ekiben or takeout at Tokyo Station and drink it at home. .
As I was thinking about this, I realized, ``Kitade TACOS Gransta Tokyo store” and decided to visit, thinking that I could try some tacos.

The store is located in the basement of Gransta Tokyo inside the Tokyo Station ticket gate.
Tokyo Station is a maze for those who are not used to it, and Google Mapss does not work well inside the building, so I think it is a little difficult to visit.
I visited on a Saturday around 20:30, and the restaurant was almost full.
I was just one person so I barely managed to get in, but it's such a popular restaurant that there was a long line of people waiting to leave.
When you think of tacos, you probably think of a hard shell with minced meat and cheese on top.
But this is a taco with an American twist.
As a famous shop, ``taco bell” can be mentioned.
Taco rice is eaten by putting minced meat and cheese on top of rice, and this is a Japanese version.
The home of tacos is Mexico, where it is common to eat minced pork or beef on a soft tortilla and then drizzle salsa sauce on top.
There are a lot of variations, as you can use various parts of meat other than pork and beef, as well as fish.
『Kitade Tacos” is a restaurant that serves Mexican tacos.
I also became fascinated with Mexican tacos after watching them on YouTube, and I've become addicted to them to the point where I try to make them myself at home.
To be honest, this is my first time eating Mexican tacos at a restaurant, but I wonder what they taste like.
Tecate
First of all, let's talk about beer, and since it's a Mexican restaurant, we're talking about Mexican beer.Tecate (850 yen)” I ordered.
Comes with lime.
Although it has the sweetness of brown sugar, it is a refreshingly light beer.
When you think of Mexican beer, you think of Corona, but in Japan there are several standard beers, such as Kirin, Asahi, and Sapporo.
I would like to try authentic Mexican beer at home.
Set of 3 classic tacos
You can get three standard types of tacos.Set of 3 classic tacos (1,580 yen)” I asked.
The menu includes chicken tinga, beef suadero, pork carnitas, and tortilla chips.
You can choose to have coriander with or without coriander when ordering, but it is not possible to have it without.
If you don't like it, you should ask for a smaller portion or a separate plate, and try the compatibility of tacos and coriander.
The salsa pictured next to the beer is a bottle of salsa, and you will be given two types of salsa: avocado sauce and smoked tomato salsa, so you can pour as much as you like on it.
Avocado sauce is a sauce that has the flavor of avocado and the spiciness of green chili peppers.
The smoked tomato salsa has the flavor of tomatoes and chipotle (smoked chili pepper sauce), but it has a smokiness to it.
pork carnitas
Let's start with the pork carnitas.
As the name suggests, it is pork.
The meat itself doesn't have that much of a salty or spicy flavor, so you can feel the flavor of the meat and the flavor of the fat directly.
And the refreshing taste of coriander is effective.
Above all, the tortilla taste is strong.
Corn flour (masa flour) is used as the raw material for tortillas, and this corn has a strong flavor.
It gives the impression that you are eating fragrant corn as is.
beef suadero
Next is beef suadero.
As the word "beef" says, it is beef.
This also doesn't have a lot of salty or spiced taste, and you can directly feel the taste of the meat and the flavor of the fat.
The cooking method is to simmer it in fat to make it soft, so it gives the impression that it is similar to simmering spices and herbs.
There are only a few spices and herbs, so I think it would be eaten with salsa or sauce.
chicken tinga
The last one is chicken tinga, which is chicken as the name suggests.
The chicken itself is different from pork and beef, and has a strong spice.
Also, since it is low in fat, the dryness is quite noticeable, so I get the impression that I eat it by replenishing the moisture with the sauce on the table.
tortilla chips
It's a fried tortilla.
It has a crunchy texture, so I think it's good as a snack.
Impressions
The total bill was 2,431 yen for Tecate and a set of 3 standard tacos.
It was my first time to taste Mexican tacos at a restaurant.
I understand that the pork and beef are not very seasoned and are eaten with salsa.
This is the same impression I had when I was making it at home, so I guess my understanding, or rather the knowledge I acquired on YouTube, was correct. .
On the other hand, the chicken was flavored with spices, making me think that there are other kinds of dishes like this.
This can be useful as a diet food at home if you use chicken breast or other ingredients.
The crucial difference between a store and home is the tortilla.
I also make it at home using corn flour (masa flour), but the taste and richness of corn is exceptional.
At home, it's only a little noticeable, but at the restaurant, you can feel the strong, direct flavor.
The one I use at home is white masa flour, but there are other types: yellow and blue.
It seems that it contains yellow, which is said to have a strong flavor, and I think it may contain other ingredients besides masa flour.
I don't think they'll tell you the blend ratio, but I think I'll be able to get it close through trial and error.
I would also like to visit other Mexican taco restaurants and visit regularly to compare the food I make at home.
Lastly, on the downside, three tacos and a beer cost nearly 2,500 yen.
I think other taco shops charge about this much, so I think it's a normal price in the taco world.
However, when looking at restaurants as a whole, there are many restaurants where you can eat and drink more and get full for just 2,500 yen, so I would have to say that the cost performance is poor.
