As McDonald's first limited-time product in 2025, ``evangelion burger” was released in 3 types.
- Crunchy-cut potatoes & thick beef with rich garlic mayo (540 yen)
- Mexican cheese chicken (490 yen)
- Cheese double teriyaki (530 yen)
As an Evangelion fan, I decided to try some, so I ate 3 different types and decided to review them.
Crunchy-cut potatoes & thick beef with rich garlic mayo
First of all,Crunchy-cut potatoes & thick beef with rich garlic mayo (540 yen)” I will receive it from.
The package was Ayanami.
The composition is, from the bottom, buns, steak sauce, cheese, chopped potatoes, patty, garlic mayo sauce, and buns.
The buns look like soccer balls.
At first, the garlic mayo sauce has a strong effect, and when you bite into it, you can feel the potato and patty.
I didn't really taste the steak sauce as it was overpowered by the flavor of the garlic mayo.
The steak sauce was liquid, and although it was protected by the cheese, it felt like it was being absorbed by the buns underneath and the chopped potatoes.
It was good that the buns absorbed the sauce, but the crispy texture was lost as the potatoes absorbed the sauce.
The potatoes and patty felt quite dry, and I think they were trying to compensate for that with the steak sauce, but I had the impression that the dryness was not suppressed.
mexican cheese chicken
Next, ``Mexican cheese chicken (490 yen)” I will receive it.
The package was Asuka.
The composition is, from the bottom, buns, chicken, cheese, taco meat filling, mayonnaise, and buns.
The buns also look like soccer balls.
Because of the amount of taco meat filling, the chicken surprisingly doesn't feel dry.
Personally, I would like it to be more pungent and spicy, but I think it can't be helped considering it will appeal to everyone.
There are two pickles in it, but they are a nice accent.
Personally, I thought it would be nice to have a large amount of it as chopped pickles.
I think it's delicious for those who like tacos.
For takeout, it seemed like it would be a good idea to add more pickles, Tabasco or green chili peppers, etc.
Cheese double teriyaki
Finally, ``Cheese double teriyaki (530 yen)” I will receive it.
The package was Shinji-kun.
The composition is, from the bottom, buns, patty, patty, cheese, lettuce, mayonnaise, and buns.
The buns also look like soccer balls.
The sauce is uneven on the edges, so it's moist, and since the patty is double, I think it's filling.
However, the sauce was squeezed out in the center, making it thinner, and the double patty made it feel dry.
Honestly, I can't deny that a regular Teriyaki burger is enough.
There's nothing new about the taste, so unless you're a fan of Shinji-kun, I think you can skip it.
