I took paid leave for Albirex Niigata's away match against Yokohama F Marinos, which will be held at Nissan Stadium.
I'm heading from Tokyo to Shin-Yokohama, the closest station to the stadium, and I'm taking the opportunity to visit some shops that are difficult to visit unless you're on a weekday.
So, I visited the Transportation Hall, which is directly connected to Yurakucho Station on the Tokyo Metro (subway).

You can easily imagine how crowded it is on Saturdays, so it's difficult to visit unless it's a weekday.

It's not impossible to go to Shin-Yokohama Station by subway, but I'm going to go a little more luxuriously by taking the Shinkansen.
I walked from Yurakucho Station to Tokyo Station, and as I was walking, I started getting hungry, so I decided to have a drink before boarding the Shinkansen.

It's perfect for a quick drink like this before getting on the Shinkansen or train. .
Rather than visiting this restaurant, I would have been happier spending my money on beer and eating Otsumami (Snacks) or Ekiben on the Shinkansen. .
Shinkansen: Tokyo Station - Shin-Yokohama
Now let's board the Shinkansen.
The journey between Tokyo Station and Shin-Yokohama takes about 20 minutes and costs 1,380 yen for non-reserved seats.
You can get there by subway for around 600 yen, but it takes about an hour, so considering Taipa, I think it's worth paying double that price.
By the way, please note that if you take a reserved seat, the price will increase to 3,000 yen at once.
After taking a little breather, we arrived at Shin-Yokohama in no time.

Since I paid the entrance fee, I cannot afford to eat just one bowl of ramen and go home.

This is a famous restaurant where Karamiso Ramen, a specialty of Yamagata Prefecture, was born.

If you don't melt the karamiso, the miso will have a strong seafood flavor, but if you don't melt it, it will give you a junky taste.

After eating, we moved to the stadium and arrived at Nissan Stadium around 18:30.
The stadium is huge and can hold up to 60,000 people. .

Unfortunately the weather was rainy.
In anticipation of this, I chose a seat that would not be exposed to rain.
I was able to safely watch the game without getting caught in the rain and without using rain gear such as a poncho.
The LED display before the match starts is beautiful.
However, since it is held on weekdays, there will be a lot of empty seats here and there. .
I think it can't be helped because of the ACL, the Emperor's Cup, and the Levain Cup, but I think it would have been better if it had been held on Saturday and Sunday instead of Friday. .
The Big Swan has also been converted to LED lights, making the penlights look better, but I haven't been able to visit it yet since it was changed to LED lights. .
I would like to go to at least one night game next summer.
After the match
The match was a 0-0 scoreless draw.
The draw came after both sides had lost four games in a row, and the point gap between them and the bottom half had narrowed, and it was a valuable point at a time when relegation was on the horizon.

In that case, I used the Shinkansen on my way back from Shin-Yokohama to Tokyo Station.
I thought about having a drink near Tokyo Station, but the restaurants were either full or the last order time had already ended. .
I thought about going back to the nearest station and having some gyudon, but they started charging me 10% of the late-night fare, so I went home without eating anything. .

It was a day where we ate and drank well while earning a valuable point.
It was a shame that I couldn't drink after the game, but I was able to enjoy Shin-Yokohama to a certain extent.
The focus will be on away games in the Kanto region, but I plan to continue watching games and enjoying local gourmet food as well.
