Tamagoyaki
Speaking of Akashi, I think of 135 degrees east longitude, Japan's meridian, octopus, sea bream, conger eel, and Akashiyaki.
There are many famous ones, but the one we will try this time is Akashiyaki.
Akashiyaki seems to be called Tamagoyaki in the local Akashi area.
There are various theories about how it came to be called tamagoyaki, so I won't go into it here.
Takoiso Annex
There seem to be many tamagoyaki shops.
Famous store's ``Akashi specialty Tamagoyaki Honke Kimuraya”, but it was closed today as it was Monday. .

『Funamachi' is a little far from the station, and I have another job to do, so I decided not to do it because it would be difficult to find time.

Located near Uonotana Shopping Street,Izumo', but it says 15 pieces per person, so 'KoyokenAfter eating bottled beer, fried noodles, and wonton noodles, I decided to give up because of my stomach.

That's why I went to ``Takoiso”, but there was a line of about 5 groups waiting so we gave up.

However, there seems to be an annex nearby, soTakoiso Annex” I visited.

The tables were occupied, but the counter seats were empty and I was able to enter without waiting.
Tamagoyaki
The default one contains octopus, but some also contain conger eel, and there are also half-and-half and mixed menus.
At first, I wanted to go with the default, so I ordered the octopus egg roll.
I would like to have some alcohol, but I'm full so I decided against it this time.
Dashi soup
I ate so much that I forgot to take a photo. .
First, let's try the common way of eating it by dipping it in soup stock.
It has a fluffy texture on the outside and is creamy on the inside.
Although the octopus is small, it has a firm texture and flavor.
When I ate it while drinking a bit of the dashi soup, it felt like I was eating chawan mushi, coupled with the creamy texture.
source
There is sauce on the table, and it seems like you eat it with sauce.
It had a completely different taste from takoyaki.
It's almost like eating a fried egg with sauce on it.
sauce + soup stock
You can also eat it by dipping it in sauce and then dipping it in soup stock, so I'll try that right away.
This goes well as it is, but it feels like it's a bit of an afterthought, so I think it would be better to eat it with either sauce or dashi.
Impressions
Personally, my favorite way to eat it was with the dashi soup.
Also, the tamagoyaki filled my stomach more than I expected.
I think each restaurant is different, so I would have liked to compare the flavors, but due to my stomach and time, I couldn't do it this time. .
There seems to be a difference in the size of each piece, but at this store, 10 pieces cost 750 yen, while other stores had 15 pieces for 900 yen, so the number also varied.
Considering that, if you're looking to compare foods, I think it's best to choose one or two restaurants if you're alone, or two or three if you're two.
In addition to Tamagoyaki, there were also shops in Uonotana Shopping Street where you could eat octopus skewers and other items.
There were also seafood restaurants selling Akashi's famous sea bream and conger eel, so it was difficult to decide which ones to prioritize. .
If you want to fully enjoy Akashi's gourmet food, I think it was so fulfilling that you had to stay overnight instead of taking a day trip.
Next time, I would like to bring my wife, who loves seafood, to stay overnight.
