1st: Shiki Bowmore 1997 27
I can feel the fruit from the aroma.
The taste is fruit, peat, fruit, peat...fruit and peat alternate.
When it comes to fruit, I think it's probably a peach.
I think it's best to give it a little time, and if you leave it alone, you'll get a grapefruit-like flavor or other tropical fruit elements.
I didn't have much time so I only spent about 30 minutes, but if possible, it would be best to drink one shot over an hour or so.
However, 97 Bowmore is 130,000. . It's gotten more expensive. .
2nd: XOP Black Glenrothes 1989 31
This is the XOP Black series, which is highly rare among XOP.
Good sherry barrels reminiscent of brown sugar, ripe fruit, and an old fruity finish.
I think this bottle will be delicious no matter who drinks it.
3rd bottle: WHISKY BULES Bushmills 1991 32 years
In one word, it's mango.
It has a very tropical impression, and you can clearly feel the mango in it.
Another element is the mint quality, and I personally feel that Bushmills has a mint quality.
There's probably no such product, but I get the impression that it's a mango-flavored mintia.
This is the bottle you should drink if you see it at a bar.
4th: Shinanoya Brooklady 1991-2021
This bottle was bottled to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Shinanoya Shinjuku store.
You can really feel the pear and green apple.
It's 91, so it's Brooklady before it closed, but it's still delicious.
I feel like it's not as good as the pre-shutdown Brooklady that I've been drinking, but the price is about 70,000 yen, which I think is cheap considering the current times.
Since the number of bottlings is 84, which is a small number, I decided not to buy it because I thought I wouldn't be able to buy it, but I wish I had put in the effort to have a quick-press competition.
5th bottle: Zanzibar Very Old Selection Speyside Blended Malt
I saw this bottle when I attended a Shinanoya tasting event held in Shinjuku.
It has a solid old-fashioned fruity element, and is reminiscent of antique furniture.
Although it is a blended malt, the constituent unblended whiskeys are Tamdhu and Glenrothes unblended whiskeys from the 60's and 70's.
It is blended with young Glenfarclas.
The fact that the price is 16,500 yen is very good.
It was a tasting event, so if you tried it and it tasted good, you could order it, so I bought it.
It seems that this was the first time the tasting event had been held, but it was so much fun that I hope it will be held again.
6th bottle: KFWS Kanosuke 2020-2025 IPA Cask
There are hops derived from IPA, grapes and creaminess, and the sweetness of unprocessed beer, so even though it is an IPA cask, it tastes like drinking ale beer.
This was shocking.
Japanese whiskey is expensive, there are many distilleries, and single casks in particular are competitive, so some people are getting tired of them.
However, ``Chichibu Whiskey Festival 2025' Tsunuki was fermented, but by paying close attention to the manufacturing process, a short-ripening yet delicious whiskey can be produced.
So, this bottle made me think once again that we need to follow Japanese whisky.
7th bottle: THE PURPLE HAZE Venezuela Rum 2006 15 years for BAR Ikkei & KINKO & SHINANOYA
It's not whiskey, it's rum.
After being hit with the tropical flavor of rum, a tea-like nuance lingers on the palate.
It doesn't have the adhesive or Cemedine smell that is typical of rum, so even people who don't like rum can drink it.
Would you like to buy it? I received a notice that said, but in February,Chichibu Whiskey Festival 2025I bought a large number of festival bottles, so I regret not giving them up for financial reasons.
Let's start earning more. . !

Normally, there aren't many good releases from March to May, but there were some pretty good releases in March 2025.
There are a lot of bottles that I can't drink unless I go to a bar or an event, so I'm going to try to attend events as much as possible and also hang out at bars on a regular basis.
