Visit and Queue Information
Visit date: Sunday, June 2025
Visiting time: Around 17:20
Queue: 10 groups (about 20-25 people) waiting, 40 minutes
Seats: Counter seats only
There are signs posted, but you have to buy a meal ticket first and then line up.
It's a popular combination of Tomita and Jiro, and it's conveniently located inside Tokyo Station, so there's always a line.
When I visited this time, when I bought the meal ticket, the staff asked me if I would have to wait for about 30 minutes. I was asked.
Of course, this is just a guideline, so you may have to wait longer, and this time it took about 40 minutes for the bowl to arrive.
Ordering and Payment
Payment method: cash, transportation IC card
call
Your meal ticket will be collected while you are waiting in line, and you will be asked to call at the time of collection.
Yasai: Possible to increase slightly
Char siu: Arm and rose
This time the call is “With garlic, a little extra vegetable, roasted pork belly” I asked.
Kaminari Soba Nami (Regular Kaminari Ramen)
This time, we will introduce the most standard ``Kaminari soba average (1,100 yen)” was selected.
Kaminari soba is ramen.
Menu items other than ramen include tsukemen and soupless soba.
After arriving at our seats, our food was served within minutes.
Let's get it then.
Yasai
Yasai is 100% bean sprouts.
The doneness of boiling is perfect.
I added a little more, but it's quite large and seems to be about the same amount as one bag of bean sprouts sold at the supermarket.
There is no abra call, but it seems to be called by default.
I asked for it with garlic, but the portion was also good and there was so much that I felt it was quite spicy.
Soup
This soup has the flavor of pork and the sharpness of soy sauce.
It has a Jiro-like feel to it.
However, I can't get the impression that they are imitating Jiro, like a regular ramen shop serving Jiro on a limited menu. .
Noodles
The noodles are thick and have a chewy texture.
7-Eleven sells chilled noodles called Jiro-style ramen supervised by Tomita, and it has a similar texture.
Therefore, it has a strong impression that it is more like udon noodles than Chinese noodles.
When it comes to convenience stores, I think the degree of reproduction is amazing.
It seems that you can choose super thick and super shaped noodles called kowaboki noodles, so this is also something to be interested in.
Chashu (Braised Pork)
I chose rose, so it has a firm texture and a firm texture.
I can't help but get the impression that this is more like a rich char siu from an ordinary ramen restaurant than a Jiro-style pork.
Impressions and Rating
We started lining up around 17:20, got our bowls around 18:00, and left around 18:10, so it took about 50 minutes in total.
Overall the taste was average.
The overall impression I get is that rather than being Jiro-style, it's more like an ordinary ramen shop trying to imitate Jiro-style.
So, personally, I don't think it's worth waiting in line for more than 30 minutes to eat.
I think it would be useful in areas where Jiro-kei isn't available, but this is Tokyo.
At the same Tokyo station, although it is outside the ticket gate,Ramen Butayama Tokyo Ramen Yokocho branch”, and if you move a little further, there are many options such as Jiro-kei and Jiro-kei.
To be honest, I don't think I'll ever visit again. .
Is Kowaboki noodles my only hope?
If I have time, I would like to come back and try it.
Taste: ★★★★★☆☆☆☆☆ (5/10)
Cost performance: ★★★★★☆☆☆☆☆ (5/10)
Revisit: ★★★★★☆☆☆☆☆ (5/10)
