Sano Ramen
Unfortunately, while I was taking a bus from Tokyo Station to Ikaho Onsen, the Kanetsu Expressway was closed due to an accident. .
I detoured around the area of the accident on the Tohoku Expressway and stopped at the Sano Service Area for a break along the way.
Sano is synonymous with Sano Ramen, so as soon as I knew I would be stopping by the Sano service area, I started researching and found out that this restaurant was located within the service area.
The break time is 25 minutes, and there is enough time to eat, so I decided to visit because this is also a coincidence.
This time, we will introduce the most standard ``Sano Ramen (850 yen)” was selected.
It's located in a food court, so the speed of service was impressive, and the food was cooked in about 3 minutes before my ticket number was called.
Let's get it then.
Soup
The taste of chicken comes first in the soup.
There is a slight hint of pork, bonito, and mackerel, but the aftertaste is sweet with vegetables.
Noodles
It is a flat curly noodle.
It's chewy and chewy, but I get the impression that it's not firm enough.
I get the impression that the texture of the noodles is like those sold at the supermarket, and I don't think it has much of the texture of Sano Ramen.
It looks like it's hand-made and hand-rolled, but when you taste it, you can tell it's made by machine.
Chashu (Braised Pork)
The parts are roses.
It's dry, but I get the impression that it makes up for the fatty meat.
Impressions and Rating
The soup had the nuances of chicken, pork, seafood, and vegetables typical of Sano ramen.
However, I don't think they were able to recreate the smooth texture of the noodles, which is Sano Ramen's biggest feature.
Although the smooth sipping sensation was not completely recreated, I feel that the chewy part, or rather the firmness when chewing, is lacking.
This is probably the single biggest drawback. .
Therefore, I think it would be more accurate to describe it as Sano-style ramen.
However, this is an expressway service area and food court.
Considering that, I think the level and quality are high.
Personally, I would be happy if I could eat ramen of this quality in the service area.
And, rather than buying Sano ramen as a souvenir and making it at home, I think you'll understand that Sano ramen is what it is when you eat it here.
I don't think you need to eat Sano ramen when you visit Sano, but if you want to eat while taking a break on the Tohoku Expressway, I think it's worth stopping by.
If you visit Sano Service Area, be sure to try it.
