Visit and Queue Information

Number of visits: First time
Visit date: Friday, May 2025
Visiting time: around 12:20
Queue: none
Seat: table seat

I visited without a reservation, and it seemed like groups were coming in from 1:00pm, so I was allowed to enter on the condition that I leave by then.

The group customers seemed to be local customers, and I felt that the restaurant was loved by the locals as well.

There are not zero restaurants around the restaurant, but there are a few, so if you want to be sure to eat there, we recommend making a reservation.

Ordering and Payment

How to order: Orally order to the store staff
Payment method: cash only

Menu I received: Bottled beer + Sanshoku tempori + Sanshoku soba

I visited with my wife.

I would like to introduce the menu that I received this time.

Bin Beeru (Bottled Beer)

First of all,Bin Beeru (Bottled Beer)” It starts from.

The brand is Sapporo Black Label.

The first beer of the day is always delicious.

Otoshi (Appetizer)

Potato salad was served as an appetizer.

The mayonnaise is sparing, and you can really feel the flavor of the ingredients, such as the potatoes and cucumbers being dehydrated with salt.

Although it has a homely taste, you can tell at this point that it is a good restaurant.

Three color soba

Now let's move on to the main three-color soba.

As the name suggests, there are three colors, or rather, three types of soba offered.

From the right, the contents are Sarashina soba, Mugwort soba, and Inaka soba.

Sarashina soba

Sarashina soba uses buckwheat flour (Ichiban flour), which is the core of buckwheat.

When buckwheat seeds are ground, it is the first powder that comes out, so it is called Ichibanko.

It is white in color and does not have much of a soba flavor, but it is characterized by its sweetness and smooth texture.

Because of its characteristics, it is smooth and goes down easily, and when you bite into it, you can feel the sweetness and slight soba flavor.

Mugwort soba

As the name suggests, mugwort soba is a soba made with mugwort mixed in.

It has a distinctive green appearance, and when you sip it, the scent of soba and mugwort will hit your nose at the same time.

It tastes a bit like kusa mochi, but I have the impression that it accentuates the flavor of the soba and soup without overpowering it.

Inaka soba

Inaka Soba uses buckwheat flour (sanban flour), which is made by grinding the shells of buckwheat seeds.

The shell is hard and comes out last when making buckwheat flour, so it is called third flour.

It is characterized by the fact that you can feel the aroma and flavor of soba most strongly.

Because of its characteristics, you can definitely feel the aroma and flavor of soba.

Personally, I liked it the best out of these three.

condiment

As condiments, we had green onions, grated daikon radish, and wasabi.

Tempura

I made just one tempura for dinner, so I'm going to share it with my wife.

Two shrimp and an eggplant.

I forgot about the other vegetable. .

All of them were crisply fried and delicious with the sweetness of the ingredients.

Soba sweet potato

Lastly, we were served Karinto made with buckwheat flour.

It has a strong soba aroma and taste.

It's natural that it's sweet because it's sprinkled with sugar, but the sweetness went surprisingly well with the soba noodles.

Sobayu

At the end, we also enjoyed soba-yu.

The soba soup itself was light, but it had a strong soba flavor.

Impressions + evaluation

The bill was a total of 3,980 yen for bottled beer + sanshoku tempori + sanshoku soba.

I think it also includes shipping charges.

Well, it was delicious.

I'm so happy that I can come to the hot springs and eat authentic soba noodles.

It gives the impression that this is a restaurant for locals rather than tourists.

However, they did not treat tourists like us lightly and served us politely.

Although it is a little outside of Ikaho Onsen's stone steps, it is recommended when visiting Ikaho Onsen.

Overall: ★★★⯪☆ (3.5)
Taste: ★★★⯪☆ (3.5)
Cost performance: ★★★☆☆ (3.0)
Revisit: ★★★⯪☆ (3.5)

Summary

  • A little far from Ikaho Onsen and Ishidangai
  • You can enjoy authentic soba noodles
  • Three-color soba is recommended
  • Tempura is also recommended
  • A restaurant loved by local customers
