Atsugi Capsule Hotel
I had the opportunity to stay near Hon-Atsugi Station, andAtsugi Capsule Hotel" in Hon-Atsugi.
This is a men-only capsule hotel located right next to the north exit of Hon-Atsugi Station.
This time I stayed in a capsule room, so I would like to introduce what it was like there.

sauna
There is one type of sauna.
The sauna room is quite small, with a maximum capacity of 3 people.
The thermometer in the room showed 100 degrees Celsius, but it didn't feel that bad and I got the impression that it was easy to get into.
Due to its size, timing may be important when it's crowded, but if it's empty, you can work up a good sweat.
water bath
There is also one type of water bath.
The water bath can be seen in the back of the image.
This is also a small space that can only accommodate two people.
The water temperature is 15 degrees Celsius, which is cool enough to cool down your body after sauna.
Both the sauna room and cold bath are small, so it might be a little difficult if you come with a group of people at the same time.
rest spot
There is only one chair for resting, and it is also located in the bathroom.
Depending on the timing, it will be a battle.
If there are no available chairs, it might be a good idea to sit on the edge of the bathtub, or if it's not crowded, ask to be allowed to use a chair near the bathtub.
There is no outdoor bathing space, so it may be a little unsatisfying for those who value a relaxing environment.
bath
The bath is in the foreground of the image.
It's sized to fit about 5 people, so you can watch TV while you're there.
I mentioned that the sauna and cold bath are small in size, but the public bath itself is also small.
It is certainly larger than the bath at home, but it feels more like a medium bath than a large bath.
It depends on the time of day, but it wasn't that crowded right after check-in at 15:00, around 0:30 just before the end of the bath, and around 8:00 just before the end of the morning bath.
On the other hand, if you encounter a Dragon Quest customer, there is no way to avoid them, so it would be a good idea to stop early and wait about 30 minutes before taking a bath.
The 100 yen will be returned to you, but it is quite a hassle to have to take the 100 yen coin with you to the bathroom.
There are some bulletin boards, but they tend to be forgotten, so those who use them should be careful.
rest space
There are reclining chairs and a rest space where you can take a nap.
There was a lineup of manga ranging from masterpieces to slightly older and more boring works.
It feels more like reading a nostalgic work slowly than reading the latest work.
In addition to the rest space, there is also a work space with chairs and desks.
Rather than working hard, I think it's enough for doing a little PC work or using your smartphone.
Others
There is no restaurant on site.
If you are hungry, you can purchase cup ramen at the reception.
There is also an alcohol vending machine in the building, so you can satisfy your basic desires.
However, it is right next to the downtown area, where there are many pubs, so I think it would be better to go out for a while and have a meal outside, although it may be a bit of a hassle.
capsule
The capsule is a two-tiered type.
It's not completely connected due to the construction, so it creaks quite a bit.
This time I used the upper tier, but the ladder is also a bit special and makes a creaking noise when going up and down, so I had to be a little careful.
There is a TV, circulator, and outlet inside the capsule, which is sufficient equipment.
I was able to spend a comfortable time without feeling too hot.
You can also hang a chain on the curtain from inside, so it seems to be good for security.
customer base
Since I stayed during Golden Week, I got the impression that the customer base ranged from people in their 20s to 50s.
There were some Dragon Quest customers, but I don't think there will be any problems if you shift the timing and avoid them well.
Overall Assessment
The inside of the building seems to be a little old, so I think a certain amount of resistance is necessary.
However, the bathroom, toilet, and capsule itself are relatively clean, so I don't think it will be a problem if you just sweat and sleep.
The biggest attraction is the price.
Hotel prices are rising rapidly, and it has become common for even business hotels to cost more than 10,000 yen per night.
It is quite attractive to be able to stay for around 5,000 yen during the Golden Week period.
I don't know if I have a chance to visit Atsugi next time, but if I do, I will definitely use your hotel again.

■Access
In front of the north exit plaza of Hon-Atsugi Station on the Odakyu Line.
The location is very convenient as it is quite close to the station and there are many restaurants nearby.
