This time, I would like to introduce the whiskey that I purchased in December 2024 as usual every month.
First of all, there are many good releases at the end of each year, so I'm taking it easy.

1st: Whiskey Talk Fukuoka 2024 Tsunuki 2019
Held in June 2024, “Whiskey Talk Fukuoka 2024This is an event limited edition.
Distilled in 2019 and bottled in 2024, it has been aged for 5 or 6 years.
The barrel is a bourbon barrel, and the alcohol content is 58%.
A lottery was held and I won and was able to purchase it.
Among the Whiskey Talk Fukuoka event limited bottles, I think the most popular bottles are Tsunuki, Kanosuke, and Chichibu, and I'm happy to hear that you selected one of them.
Based on the previous reviews, it seems to be delicious, so I'm thinking of opening it and drinking it someday.
2nd: Shin Saburomaru/Megami Tensei if… Karukozaka High School Alumni Association Memorial
A lottery was held at Wakatsuru Sake Brewery's official online shop Sake and ALC, and this is a single malt collaboration bottle of Saburomaru and Shin Megami Tensei.
Distilled in 2021 and bottled in 2024, the alcohol content is 59%, which is high due to the addition of water.
This is the only spec that has been released, but it is close to the specifications of Saburomaru V.
I haven't opened it yet, but I expect it to be delicious.
3rd bottle: Maltman Glen Rossie 1997 26 year refill sherry butt
This is a bottle aged for 26 years in a refill sherry butt distilled in 1997.
Since it's a refill sherry, it doesn't have that much of a barrel taste, so you can enjoy the gorgeous and fruity nuances of Glen Rossie.
I get the impression that the berry flavor and sweetness of the sherry is added to it, making it even more fruity.
It costs about 40,000 yen per bottle, which is the price even in the late 1990s. .
I can't deny that feeling, but after drinking it at a bar and tasting it again at a liquor store, I thought it was delicious, so I bought it.
4th bottle: Shinanoya Caroni 1997 22 Year Barrel for SHINANOYA
It's not whiskey, it's rum.
Held in December, “Whiskey Festival 2024 in Tokyo” I was able to sample it in advance.
I got the impression that the body was a little light, but it was delicious so I bought it.
The price is about 50,000 yen, but since it is a closed distillery, I think it is cheap considering other releases and the current times.
It has less of the elements that people who dislike rums that have an ethereal, glue-like feel are disliked, and it has a tropical impression.
I think this is a bottle that will appeal to whiskey lovers, so I highly recommend you give it a try.
5th: KFWS Irish 2002 21 Year Barrel ZODIAC SERIES “CANCER”
Kyoto Fine Wine and Sprits, commonly known as Kyoto, released this Irish wine from 2002, which is known as a successful year.
The distillery is a secret, but it's probably Cooley.
The taste is creamy, milky, and has a lemon candy-like taste, which is delicious.
Since it's part of the Constellation series, this time it's CANCER, and it looks like several releases will be released each year from now on.
When I looked at the price, it was expensive, but when I tried it, I thought it had a satisfying taste, so I bought it.
I'm curious about future release developments.
6th bottle: Maltyama Scapa 2001 22 Years 1st Fill Bourbon Barrel for Maltyama 11th Anniversary
This is GM's Scapa commemorating Maltoyama's 11th anniversary.
Distilled in 2001, aged for 21 years in first-fill bourbon barrels, it has an alcohol content of 51.8%.
Held in December, “Whiskey Festival 2024 in TokyoI tried it at `` and it was delicious, so I bought it.
This is a bottle where you can feel the elements of citrus and green apple.
The price is high at about 55,000 yen, but I think the taste is worth it.
I think it's in many bars, so if you see it, give it a try.
7th: MYAOI GIN Hatsukoi
It's not whiskey, it's gin.
Whiskey is also made here, so some of you may know this, but it's gin produced at the Maoi Distillery.
This was also held in December.Whiskey Festival 2024 in TokyoI tried it at `` and it was delicious, so I bought it.
It is said to be inspired by osmanthus, and it has citrus elements such as sweetness, bitterness, and sourness, and I think it is the taste of first love.
When I sampled it, I had it served straight and with a light mix of soda, but the soda mix looked good.
Since I bought it, I have a lot of it, so I'm going to try it in various ways, such as tonic and sonic.
8th: Niigata Kameda 2021 3rd year
This is a bottle that I bought, was given to me, or was traded.
『Whiskey Festival 2024 in Tokyo” This is Niigata Kameda 3rd year limited event.
I didn't win the lottery, but since it's a recommended distillery, I wanted to get my hands on it somehow. .
Thankfully, I was able to obtain it safely after receiving your request.
I tasted it at the event, and although it is young, I think it is delicious with a honey-like and apple flavor.
If you see it at a bar or at a whiskey event, please give it a try.
It seems that the first official single malt will be released in 2025, so I'm looking forward to that as well.
Closing Thoughts
It's been a while since I did something like that.
Both Japanese whiskey and bottlers are releasing good releases towards the end of the year. .
If a whiskey event is held there and you get a chance to sample it in advance and think it's delicious, you have no choice but to buy it. .
I'll just state my excuse.
My personal theme for 2024 is ``If I drink it and it tastes good, I'll buy it.” is the theme.
There were some bottles that were entered into the lottery that I couldn't drink before buying, but I think I ended up drinking more than 70% to 80% of them before I bought them.
Before I started this purchasing method, I thought I wouldn't be able to buy popular bottles.
Although there are transportation and accommodation costs, there are sales methods such as participating in whiskey events and tasting them in advance, or selling them at a bar first and selling them at a later date.
Regardless of whether it is a recommended purchase or not, I personally think it was a good purchase, so I would like to try it in 2025 and buy it if I think it is delicious.
