Visit around 8:50 and register using the tablet on the 1st floor.

1F is ``Ise Sekiya” and sells processed abalone products and rice bases.

伊勢外宮前 伊勢せきや

The place to eat and drink is on the 2nd floor.

I wandered around the store on the 1st floor, waiting to be called.

After waiting for about 30 minutes, my turn came and I was guided to the 2nd floor.

After checking in, you need to be inside the store, so you'll be holding your hands quite a bit.

Even though it's a Friday, the wait time is this long, so I think it will be even worse on Saturdays and Sundays. .

Morning porridge with abalone

In the morning hours from 7:30 to 10:00,Morning porridge for a meal” You can receive.

The menu includes turban shells, abalone, sea bream, spiny lobster, etc.Morning porridge with abalone (2,500 yen)” was selected.

It arrived in about 5 minutes after ordering.

The basic configuration is as follows.

Aperitif: Plum wine (non-alcoholic)
Separate portion: Steamed abalone
Small bowl: seasonal small bowl, hot spring egg
Delicacies: Sekiya carefully selected delicacies, Shigure with roe, etc.
Vinegared foods: seasonal vinegared foods
Grilled fish: ground dried fish
Rice: Rice porridge (secret sauce)
Bowl: Red soup stock
Aroma: Local pickles
Bite: Zenzai

If you ask the staff at the time of service, they will give you a simple explanation of each dish.

Let's get it then.

Aperitif: Plum wine (non-alcoholic)

It's an aperitif, so I'll have it first.

Although it is said to be non-alcoholic, it has a strong plum wine taste.

To begin with, plum wine itself doesn't have much of an alcoholic taste, but if I can recreate this taste with non-alcoholic beverages, I think non-alcoholic plum wine is fine.

Separate portion: Steamed abalone

The abalone itself is extremely soft, and when you bite into it, you can really feel the umami and the flavor of the ocean.

It has a taste that makes you want to drink alcohol.

The separate parts are different for each type of turban shell, abalone, sea bream, spiny lobster, etc.

The default “Morning porridge (1,500 yen)” is also available.

Just because it's served separately doesn't mean it's going to be abalone porridge, so to be honest, I don't think it's necessary to have the separate serving, although it's delicious. .

Small bowl: seasonal small bowl, hot spring egg

The small bowl was simmered shrimp and kelp.

It tastes normal.

Shrimp have shells on them, which can make your hands dirty, making them a little difficult to eat.

As you can see on the right side of the photo, they also have hot spring eggs.

This is also a normal hot spring egg.

Delicacies: Sekiya carefully selected delicacies, Shigure with roe, etc.

First of all,Shigure with children”.

The flavor of Akanishi shellfish is delicious.

The texture of fish eggs and kelp is also good.

The left side of the photo isFukuju', which is a mixture of seaweed stems and fish roe.

You can enjoy a crunchier texture.

The right side of the photo isAosa Nori Shiitake Mushroom' Shiitake mushrooms and seaweed are mixed together.

The flavor of the shiitake mushrooms and the flavor of the seaweed matched well and was delicious.

By the way, it seems that these three items can be purchased on the 1st floor.

Vinegared foods: seasonal vinegared foods

I forgot to take individual photos. .

It's the one with the lemon on the right side of the overall photo.

The seasonal vinegared dish was mozuku vinegar.

It was a delicious mozuku vinegar with just the right amount of sourness and a firm texture.

Grilled fish: ground dried fish

I was aiming for ground dried fish.

It was a dish packed with flavor while still having the bittersweetness of the liver.

Rice: Rice porridge (secret sauce)

It gave the impression that there was a lot of juice, and it felt more like heavy hot water than porridge.

Since there is no seasoning at all, I think it would be best to eat it with the secret sauce and side dishes.

The secret sauce has a strong kelp flavor.

The taste is more umami than salty, so it doesn't get too strong even if you use a lot of it.

Refills of the rice porridge and secret sauce are free.

After this, I planned to move to Naiku and eat while walking, so I didn't ask for a second helping this time.

Bowl: Red soup stock

I could feel the flavor of miso, but compared to the red soup stock that you drink at the end of a sushi restaurant, the soup stock seemed weak.

Aroma: Local pickles

The pickles were green leaves, daikon radish, and pickled plums.

It didn't feel very special, it was just a normal pickle with just the right amount of salt.

Bite: Zenzai

Made from 100% azuki beans, I was impressed by the moderate sweetness that was not overpowering.

Impressions

The main dish was porridge, so it was simple, but there were plenty of side dishes to complement it, making it a pretty luxurious breakfast.

It's not too greasy, and it's not too light either, and I think it has just the right amount of volume and flavor for breakfast.

If you're not satisfied with the volume, you can adjust by refilling the rice porridge, and since you'll be eating around after this anyway, I don't think it's a problem.

If you're a small eater, you'll probably be satisfied with just this amount, so if you're eating around, you might want to avoid it.

Although you should be prepared for crowds, it is recommended for breakfast in Ise.
