Visit and Queue Information
Visit date: October 2025, weekdays
Visit time: Around 20:00
Queue: none
Crowd status: I get the impression that the store is about 70% full.
Seat: counter seat
Since it's a Chinese restaurant (seriously Chinese), over 90% of the customers are Chinese.
I get the impression that there are a few Japanese people here as well.
Even the Chinese restaurants in Ikebukuro are relatively cheap and popular, so they are often crowded.
This is my first time introducing it, but I have visited it several times in the past.
Ordering and Payment
Payment method: cash, PayPay
When I visited a few years ago, I couldn't understand Japanese, so I had to use gestures to order.
When I visited this time, I was able to order in Japanese, and there were quite a few Japanese people visiting.
Menu
Please rest assured that the photos on the menu are also written in Japanese.
Bin Beeru (Bottled Beer) + Snacks + Wonton + Maratan (Spicy Numbing Soup)
This time, I ordered Bin Beeru (Bottled Beer) and snacks, and to finish off the meal I ordered wontons and Maratan (Spicy Numbing Soup).
Now, let me introduce you to the menu we received this time.
Bin Beeru (Bottled Beer)
First of all,Bin Beeru (Bottled Beer) (650 yen)”.
The brand is Super Dry.
Tsingtao beer is also on the menu, but I personally think Japanese beer goes well with Chinese food.
Chinese beer is often light, but Chinese food itself, as you know, has a rich flavor.
Japanese beer with a strong flavor goes well with it.
You can't enjoy this combination in China, so it's a way to enjoy it that is unique to Japan, or rather Ikebukuro.
Duck belly (Mino)
It is a food called lu tsai, which is made by adding star anise and other spices to the soup stock to create a sauce, and then marinating various ingredients in it to give it flavor.
In Japan, it is common to eat the breast or loin of duck, but in China it seems more common to eat the offal.
『Duck belly (mino) 600 yen ', but the part is the stomach.
It has a crunchy texture.
You can choose the spiciness, and I asked for medium spiciness, but it was quite spicy.
However, it has a lot of umami and it tastes like you are eating Chinese food.
There are some ingredients that are familiar to Japanese people, such as quail eggs, so we recommend trying them first for the first time.
wonton small
『Small wonton (850 yen)' The fabric is soft and silky.
I think the fabric is handmade, not manufactured.
The filling has a meaty texture, but the balance is exquisite, making it a wonton rather than a boiled dumpling.
Recently, I've been to several ramen restaurants such as Bib Gourmand and Tabelog Hyakumeiten, and to be honest, most of the wonton restaurants are worse than this one.
After all, I feel that wontons should be eaten at a Chinese restaurant.
The soup is mild and has a similar flavor to Chinese soup, but the addition of shrimp and seaweed gives it a seaside feel.
I am eating this at night, but it is a seasoning that I would like to have for breakfast.
Malatang (Spicy Sichuan Hot Pot)
The wife said,Maratan (Spicy Numbing Soup) (500 yen)” was ordered.
The default price is cheap, the toppings are cheap,Coriander (250 yen)” or something like that. .
I got a little bit of it, but it has a junky seasoning of burnt green onions and garlic.
Impressions and Rating
The bill was 3,050 yen.
Although it's light, the price is cheap even if you drink it, snack on it, and finish it off for two people.
With the recent craze for Maratan (Spicy Numbing Soup), nearby shops are crowded, but this one is not.
Maybe it's because the store name only says duck instead of Maratan (Spicy Numbing Soup).
I don't want it to be known and crowded, but it is a store that I want people to know about.
