Sushiya Maruishi main store
We checked in to the hotel and made preparations for tomorrow's participation in Sado Long Ride 2024, including installing our bibs.
All I had to do now was go buy breakfast and water for tomorrow.
There was a supermarket right in front of the hotel, so we were able to get water without any problems.
However, since they only sold one rice ball and there was no other rice-based breakfast item, I decided to head to a convenience store.
The convenience store is about 1 km away, and you can get there in an instant if you ride a road bike, but since bindings and other issues are a hassle, I decided to walk there.
Speaking of conveyor belt sushi in Sado, I went to ``Sado Kaiten Sushi Benkei Sado main store” In addition to “Sushiya Maruishi main store” is there.

It seems like it's about a 5 minute walk from the convenience store I'm going to, so I thought I'd take the opportunity to visit and compare which one is better.
We arrived around 5pm, and since it was an early dinner time, we were served without waiting.
Let's start eating.
[From Sado] Drumstick tuna
It's delicious and you can feel the flavor of the sticky tuna.
170 yen per plate is cheap.
[From Sado] Eyed sea bream
The texture is fluffy and the flavor is weak, so the Shari is emphasized.
When I ate this, I realized that I like Shari.
I like it to be a little hard, with just the right amount of acidity.
[From Sado] Nidako
The moment you put it in your mouth, the flavor of octopus spreads.
The more you chew, the more flavor comes out.
[From Sado] Horse mackerel
It gave me a watery impression.
[From Sado] Bai shellfish
It has a crunchy texture, and when you bite into it, the flavor of the ocean and the sweetness of the shellfish come out, making it delicious.
[From Sado] Flounder
It had a fluffy texture and the flavor was weak.
[From Sado] Takoboushi
It had a much softer texture compared to octopus legs.
It goes well with sweet claws.
[From Sado] Squid
It had just the right texture, yet was sticky and sweet.
[From Sado] Nodoguro
Since it is from Sado, I ordered Nodoguro.
The fish is grilled so strongly that you'll think you're eating grilled fish.
Since the searing is strong, the fat has been removed and the dish feels lighter, but it also feels like it's overcooked.
Camatro
It looks like Wagyu beef, but it also has a plain impression.
As you chew, the flavor becomes stronger and the aroma of tuna fat comes out.
[From Sado] Drumstick tuna
It was delicious, so I ended up eating the drumstick tuna one last time.
Impressions
I ate 11 pieces and the price was 3,040 yen.
Personally, I thinkDrumstick tuna” is delicious and cheap at 170 yen, so I could eat this all the time.
Now let's compare Benkei and Maruishi.
Regarding the price range, I have the impression that Benkei and Maruishi are about the same.
As for the important taste, I personally preferred the round oysters.
I liked the firmness of the sushi, and I think there were many toppings that I thought were delicious.
Also, the boiled soy sauce was delicious.
It seems to be a commercially available product, and I stopped by at Niigata Station on my way home.Ponshukan Niigata EidenI saw it for sale at the store, so I bought it as a souvenir.

If you can only visit one, I recommend Maruishi.
However, when it comes to local ingredients from Sado, there are some that can only be found in Benkei, and others that can only be found in Maruishi, so I think it's a good idea to visit both if you have the chance.
