Onigiri Bongo Itabashi
The main store is located at Otsuka Station.Onigiribongo” has become a hot topic on various social media, and long lines are now commonplace at the store.

At Zara, you may have to wait two hours on weekdays, or four hours or more on weekends, so it's a restaurant that can be quite difficult to visit, or rather, you have to be prepared.
However, there was almost no line up.OnigiribongoThere is a way you can enjoy it.
The first is to place an order by phone.
You can skip the line and pick up your order at the designated time.
The downside is that the phone line is busy.
The slots are determined by time slot, and the slots will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
Therefore, there is a possibility that the slot for the time you want to eat is full and you cannot get the time you want.
Another disadvantage is that it is a take-out option.
『Onigiribongo''s rice balls are made by wrapping them instead of squeezing them.
I think of it like freshly made sushi.
Sushi is made by holding it in such a way as to let air into it.
The moment the sushi is placed on the sushi geta is the time to eat it.
『Onigiribongo''s rice balls are similarly fluffy and have air between each grain of rice, but if you take them out, they will collapse over time.
Also, although it is served piping hot, it cools down over time, and personally I think the taste deteriorates.
Although the advantage of not having to wait in line is great, ordering by phone also comes with its own disadvantages.
The second method we will introduce this time is ``Onigiri Bongo Itabashi”.

You can enjoy almost the same taste as the main store, the prices are a little cheaper, and best of all, there are almost no lines.
Of course, the taste is not exactly the same as the main store, so I think that can be cited as a disadvantage. .
Another disadvantage is the location in Itabashi.
Although it is not far from the station, it is either Itabashi Station on the Saikyo Line or Shimoitabashi Station on the Tobu Tojo Line, so most people will need to transfer.
Personally, I like the famous whiskey bar “M’s Tasting Room” and I often visit Itabashi, so I don't really feel it's a disadvantage. .

Anyway, this time I visited around 17:00 on a weekday.
There was no wait, but the 7-seat counter was more than half full.
set of 2
There are a wide variety of onigiri ingredients.
Just like at sushi restaurants, the prices of onigiri are divided into 270 yen, 290 yen, 320 yen, and 470 yen depending on the ingredients in the onigiri.
You can also mix and match ingredients for an additional fee, so the combinations are endless.
This time, it comes with tofu soup (miso soup).Set of 2 (640 yen)” I asked.
It's a set of two rice balls for 270 yen and tofu soup (100 yen), so although it's called a set, it's just a simple addition, and since it's a set, it's not a bit cheaper.
If you pay an additional fee, you can choose ingredients that cost more than 270 yen.
This time, I paid an additional fee andSujiko (+200 yen)” and “Egg yolk (+50 yen)” was selected.
Because the food was being prepared for the previous customer, it was served within about 5 minutes of ordering.
Let's get it then.
egg yolk
First of all,egg yolk” I will receive it from.
The ingredients are placed at the top of the rice ball, so you can easily tell which ingredients are on it.
The rice ball itself has a very fluffy texture, and it feels like it's falling apart.
I think this should be eaten fresh.
The most important ingredient is the egg yolk marinated in soy sauce, giving it a sticky and rich taste.
To put it bluntly, it's like egg-cooked rice.
This is delicious enough on its own, but I think it would be better to mix it with ``meat miso'' since I think it would be good for punching.
Sujiko
Next is “Sujiko”.
It's one of the most expensive ingredients on the menu and costs 470 yen.
With just the right amount of salt, you can enjoy the rich flavor of sujiko without any odor.
Evil thoughts cross my mind, such as that this one and the beef bowl are about the same price, or that I could get ramen at Hidakaya, but the taste of this dish will dispel those thoughts.
Tofu soup
There was a taste of miso, but I was impressed by the bonito soup stock.
The strong soup stock gave me the impression of a soba soup.
Impressions
I chose "Sujiko (+200 yen)" and "Egg Yolk (+50 yen)" based on the "2 piece set (640 yen)", so my bill was 890 yen.
Please note that cash is the only payment method.
The taste of the freshly made rice balls was amazing.
I had plans after this and didn't want to get too full, so I limited myself to just two, but it was so delicious that I would have ordered two or three more if I didn't have plans.
『Onigiribongo” has become popular, and recently I have started to see many shops specializing in onigiri.
To be honest, I thought that onigiri would be no different from a convenience store, but a restaurant where you can eat freshly made rice balls instead of taking them out is great.
You can eat without lining up.Onigiri Bongo ItabashiPlease come and visit us.
In addition to our main store, there are many other stores that have become independent after training at Bongo, so we would be happy to introduce them to you.
