We have a pretty demanding schedule: a whiskey event in the morning, watching Albirex Niigata's away game against Urawa in the afternoon, and drinking at Akabane in the evening.
First of all, let's start with the whiskey event, but it's really bad to drink straight whiskey on an empty stomach, so I decided to eat before the whiskey event.
The event will be held in Takadanobaba, but first we came to Ikebukuro.
Current time is 9:00 AM.
Normally, you would settle for a stand-up soba restaurant or gyudon chain, but there is a ramen restaurant in Ikebukuro where you can eat from morning.

Whiskey Festival 2024 in Tokyo
Next, we moved on to Takadanobaba and attended one of today's main events, ``Whiskey Festival 2024 in Tokyo” I will participate.
There is a number of sessions, and this time I participated in the third session on December 8th (Sunday) from 10:00 to 13:30.
It is one of the largest events in Japan, with a wide lineup ranging from major domestic distilleries to emerging distilleries, Scotch, Irish, and Bourbon importers to bottlers.
There is an entrance fee of 5,000 yen, and some tastings are available for a fee, but there are many brands that you can sample for free.
Therefore, I think this is an event that can be enjoyed by everyone from whiskey drinkers, beginners, intermediates, and even advanced drinkers.
I was able to come across some delicious bottles, so I hope to be able to participate again next year.

Irori-an Kiraku Komagome
Next, we will head to Saitama Stadium 2002 where the main event, Albirex Niigata's away match against Urawa, will be held.
It takes about an hour and a half from Takadanobaba to the nearest station, Urawa Misono Station, and the stadium.
The match starts at 14:00, so the Whiskey event will be early and move on around 12:30.
From Takadanobaba, take the Yamanote Line to Komagome Station and eat something before changing to the Namboku Line (Saitama Rapid Railway Line).

After arriving at Urawa Misono Station, I was planning to walk 15 minutes to the stadium, but the bus just arrived, so I decided to take it.
The bus arrived on the back side, and my seat this time was on the main side, so I had to go around half the stadium.
If you walk, you will arrive on the main side, so if you are seated on the main side, the total travel time may not change. .
This match is the final match of the J1 2024 season.
Albirex Niigata was in 17th place before the match started.
They are three points behind 18th place Jubilo Iwata, who are in the relegation zone.

After watching the match, we will move to Kawaguchi-Motogo Station, and from there we will walk towards JR Kawaguchi Station.

When visiting a store for the first time, the most orthodox ``Chinese noodles (790 yen)”, so I ordered it as usual.

After dinner, I moved one station from JR Kawaguchi Station and arrived at Akabane.
The last main event of the day is drinking at Akabane.
First, I chose the famous store in Akabane, ``Marumasuya Sohonten”.

I arrived at the last minute to order, so I ended up having a quick drink, but next time I'd like to start with a lunch drink and finish with the eel.

Since I don't often visit the north side of Tokyo, I decided to stay overnight and enjoy a drink in Akabane.
Although it is a small capsule hotel, it also has a sauna and hot spring, and you can stay for as low as 2,980 yen per night.
Hotel prices in Tokyo are skyrocketing, so this is recommended if you can tolerate the slightly outdated facilities and the fact that it's a capsule hotel.
As I was lying in the capsule, sweating a little, I fell asleep and before I knew it, it was almost 23:00. .
Horumon no Doronpa
I thought about going to sleep, but since I'm in Akabane, I decided to go outside.
So, I was curious about ``Horumon no Doronpa” I visited.
Made in the Nishinari style, it is odorless, soft and well seasoned.hormone” I thoroughly enjoyed it.
It was nearing the last order, so I finished with a quick drink, but there were other items on the menu that I was interested in, so I thought it was a restaurant I wanted to visit.
Kushikatsu Ageage Akabane Honten
Speaking of Akabane, it's bar hopping, so next is 'Kushikatsu Ageage Akabane Honten”.
Even in Akabane, there are only a limited number of shops open around 24:00 on Sundays, but this shop is open 24 hours a day.
It is truly an emergency evacuation site for nonbees.
As the name suggests, this is a kushikatsu restaurant, and the standard ``Quail (160 yen)” and rare “Shirako skewer (250 yen)” etc.
It's been a while since I ate kushikatsu, and the oily one is delicious.
And even at this time when the date is about to change, it makes oily foods even more delicious.

The date has already changed and it is now Monday, but the only ramen shop that is still open at this time is in Akabane. .

It had a gentle taste of traditional chicken stock soy sauce, and was the perfect ending to the dish.
Impressions
It was a pretty tough day with a whiskey event, watching soccer, and drinking Akabane, but I had a lot of fun.
The amount of alcohol I drank that day was 27 straight glasses of whiskey, rum, and gin (10ml to 15ml for tasting), 3 medium bottles of Bin Beeru (Bottled Beer), and 1 one cup.
You can drink Akabane in the morning, so I think I'll start drinking it in the morning on the second day!
