There is always a line, and this restaurant is very popular among foreigners.

When I entered the restaurant, there were almost only Japanese people, but by the time I finished eating, a group of foreign tourists started coming in and it got crowded.

This is just luck. .

Basically, this is a Tsukemen (Dipping Noodles) restaurant, but they also have Chinese noodles.

The menu is relatively simple, with only the amount of noodles such as Omori (Large Portion), toppings, and canned beer for drinks.

Tsukemen (Dipping Noodles) with rich Ajitama (Seasoned Egg)

I was on my way to Shinanoya Dogenzaka branch and Yamaya Dogenzakaue branch, which had a large selection of whiskey, but there was always a line so I gave up.

This time, it was 15:30 on a weekday, so I was able to enter the store without waiting.

This time, “Tsukemen (Dipping Noodles) with rich Ajitama (Seasoned Egg) (1,100 yen)” was selected.

The noodles are thick and take time to cook in hot water, so the bowl was ready in about 10 minutes after I handed over my ticket.

Let's get it then.

Noodles

You can choose between germ noodles or chewy noodles.

If you think this is a system you've heard of somewhere, you're probably a ramen connoisseur.

That's right.

Famous for Veggie PotaTsukemen (Dipping Noodles)Enji temple” is the same system.

[Tokyo, Ikebukuro] Vegi Pota Tsukemen Enji — Vegi Pota Tsukemen Omori (Large Portion), ¥1,050 [Visited March 2025]

It is said that the owner was training at Enji Temple.

*The training destination is the main store in Kichijoji, and the link is to the Ikebukuro store.

It has a chewy texture and just the right amount of firmness.

When you bite into it, you can really feel the taste of wheat, as well as the sweetness and slight aroma.

It's so delicious that you can just slurp the noodles without dipping them in the dipping sauce.

dipping sauce

The dipping sauce is made with seafood and pork bones.Matata-type (also, you too)”.

You can feel the knots in the seafood, and the sweetness of the vegetables from the vegetable potage.

The yuzu sometimes hits the palate for a refreshing taste, and the mizuna adds an accent to the texture.

It also goes well with strong-flavored noodles.

Matata-type
Oma-kei also refers to seafood and pork bones.
Since there are many restaurants selling seafood and pork bones, it came to be abbreviated as "Mata Omae Moka" or "Mata Oma Kei."

Chashu (Braised Pork)

The char siu is soft and fluffy.

It's impressive that it includes various parts such as the ribs, loin, and arms.

There was quite a lot of it even when it was normal, so I'm curious about how much it will be if you add meat (charsiut topping).

Flavored egg

Although Ajitama (Seasoned Egg) is half-cooked, it is well cooked.

It seems best to eat it thoroughly with dipping sauce.

soup split

At the end, enjoy the soup and enjoy it.

The dipping sauce itself wasn't too salty, so I thought it might be a good idea to drink it all without adding the soup stock.

Impressions and Rating

Dogenzaka MammothIt was delicious.

It was quite similar to Enji, as it was a training destination.

It's a mystery why it's so popular among foreigners, but it's certainly delicious.

Shibuya has fewer ramen shops than Shinjuku and Ikebukuro, so I guess that's why it's so popular. . !?

When I visit Shibuya, I always go to Shinanoya and Yamaya, so I would like to visit again if I have free time.
